This week's question is:
What is your favorite Spring Break destination?
I've only taken Spring Break trips since I've been married - because we got married during Spring Break. :) We've always traveled to different places. This year, we didn't get to go anywhere because of our daughters' music commitments. But since it was snowy, here's where I would have liked to have been. I've never been to the Florida Keys...but one day I will.

Aww, that's so cool you guys married on Spring Break!! I hope you guys get to go there soon. I'm tired of snow - it'd be nice to be somewhere warm and sunny! My husband and I took a couple trips together during spring - one was to Mardi Gras before we were even dating, and the next one we had been dating for about seven months and went to Savannah and Key West. We found out later I was pregnant during that trip, and I tell Janie all the time, "You've been to the southern most point of the U.S. already!" lol :)
ReplyDeleteWe've had some warmer temps this week, Jennifer, so there's been significant melting. :) I know Spring is just around the corner! ;) I love that story! *ha* I tell me kids they've been places - in-utero - too! :)
DeleteLooks like I will be spring breaking in the same spot as you! I love the beach so much! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I am an old follower on bloglovin! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to find one another and have some sort of fruity drink while discussing books, Kristalyn! :) I hope you're having a great weekend!
DeleteI hear you. We honeymooned during our spring break, as well. We went to D.C., though. Loved it!
ReplyDeleteNew follower via GFC & Bloglovin'. You can find my FF post HERE.
Ooh, I've never been to D.C. - Dulles airport is the closest I've been. *ha* Thanks for hopping by. I'm on my way over to your place. :)
DeleteAbout 15 years ago my hubby and I spent a couple of months touring the United States. Key West was one of our destinations. It was very beautiful and definitely a place I wouldn't mind seeing again.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday Brandee!
My FF @ Marilyn's Mystery Blog
Oh, that's so nice, Marilyn. I wish my husband and I could tour somewhere for a few months! I keep telling him I want to travel when the kids are all away at college and he says 'yes, we will...to wherever they're attending college." ;) I'm glad you enjoyed Key West - hopefully one of my kids will go to college in Florida! *ha*
DeleteI'm not a beach gal--more of a city chick. When I was younger I did enjoy the sand and surf, though, and Florida was lovely!
ReplyDeleteNew FaceBook and Twitter follower--old GFC and Bloglovin' follower! :) My F&FF
I'd say I'm actually more of a mountain/country girl, Alice. But a warm beach sounds good after a lot of snow! ;) Thanks for hopping by and for the follows!
DeleteYeah, I never really did the spring break thing. My parents were SUPER strict when I was in high school and college, so I've pretty much stuck to the standard trip to a communal, extended family beach house at Gwynn's Island, VA. Even as an adult b/c I love it there. Kind of boring . . .
ReplyDeleteI always had to work during spring break...*sigh* I love that you have a place to go to that such a part of your history, Jessica. That's pretty cool. We do ski during our spring break - the slopes are only an hour away! ;)
DeleteOOh nice! Yeah, I'm not much of a beach goer myself. Don't like the heat or sand and oceans and me don't go together! I grew up watching Jaws, so needless to say I will never go into the ocean!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT weekend!
Old Follower :)
*ha* Well, I've never been to Disney and I don't know that I could take the crowds. ;) Hope you're having a great weekend!
DeleteSounds good to me!

DeleteOh, yes, palm-trees, sandy beaches and the ocean sounds pretty perfect right now :) Very good choice, my friend. I hope you're having a fantastic Friday!

Well, we still had friends in college and my mom worked for a university - so it was convenient, too. :) Thanks for dropping by, Whit! I hope you're enjoying your weekend!
DeleteFlorida has never made my list, but my dad has staked his claim in spring break. I'm good with that!
ReplyDeleteThe mountains are a great place to spend spring break! :) And it's a good thing I feel that way! *ha*
DeleteI, too, have yet to go to Florida but I'd be scared to with all the hurricanes they have :/ New follower via Bloglovin'.
