It all led to this...Some things are now out in the open but there are still secrets to be shared if Willow and Ebon are going to move forward. To make matters more difficult, both Willow's and Ebon's parents are working against them. I don't know which set is more evil...okay, I'm going with Ebon's.

In this final installment, things heat up with lots of suspense. There are people and events which keep Willow and Ebon apart. But I was so elated that they each showed maturity. They both came clean - let all the skeletons out of their closets - in order to work things out.

The ending was, perhaps, a little too neat and clean but it was extremely satisfying.

The Challenges of Writing a “Twisted” Romance One of the biggest draws (and eyebrow-raising) aspects of Teaching Willow is the twisty romance between Ebon and Willow. How do you walk the line between the creating a romance to root for? How do you keep readers on Willow’s and Ebon’s side among all the lies?

I hope I’ve kept them cheering for Ebon and Willow because, at the root of all the resistance and deception and crazy choices, is love. Plain and simple. Willow knows she loves Ebon. She never intended to have him this way. It is just a series of bad choices and intense emotion that led to a cascade of worsening problems. And Ebon has deeper feelings for Willow than what he’s willing to admit, even to himself. I want to see them weather this storm just so they can come out on the other side and be rewarded for all that they have suffered. I hope that readers feel the same way, because the end will be very satisfying. wink wink

Whoa! It seems the gig is up. Everything is out in the open - sort of. Willow knew she was treading a dangerous path and if she stepped wrong, things would go badly. That's exactly what's happened.

One thing I appreciated in this installment is that Willow shows some maturity. She's remorseful for her actions and wants to make amends. She shows some backbone - something we haven't seen previously. Yes, it took some...I don't know - guts? - to do what she's done but in other areas of her life, she's just allowed things to happen. Now she seems to be moving toward taking responsibility for her actions and taking back her life.

I also appreciated getting some insight into Ebon's past. He's been keeping his own secrets and we are finally privy to a little of his past. It's rather horrifying. And what's worse? It puts Willow in danger.

Teaching Willow: Session 3 was every bit as twisty and thrilling as its predecessors. But I think I found it a little more fulfilling now that things have derailed for Willow. (Does that make me a bad person? ;) I'm very anxious to see how it all plays out.

Willow: If I could plan a day with Ebon, I would rent a private cottage deep in the forest in a lush place, like Oregon. Good golly! The tension is ratcheted up 110% in this installment. And of course it involves more duplicity, more hot sex, and more than a little mind f#ckery. As Willow gets deeper and deeper into her deception, I can't help but agree with her...a shit storm is coming!

I delighted in seeing Willow and Ebon's relationship grow. It felt as though they were getting to know one another. But we also find out that Willow isn't the only one being deceitful. Ebon has a few secrets of his own. And he still struggles with this feelings towards the Masters sisters.

I'm tense and anxious wanting to know what's going to come next. Ms. James, you have me hanging by a thread...
