Well, I certainly didn't see that coming. I've said it before but Huss really is a master at writing unpredictable. Coming For You had so many twists, my head was spinning at times. I even woke up one morning thinking "Oh!" because my subconscious had worked out what something meant while I was sleeping. This conclusion was thrilling, heartbreaking, befuddling, and incredibly satisfying.

The secrets were revealed - well for the most part - all the players were uncovered, plans were set into motion, and life-changing decisions were made. There was no way I could have predicted all that went down. Connecting all the dots, putting all the puzzle pieces together was a challenge. And honestly, it's part of the joy of reading a Huss book. There were even times when I doubted James', Harper's, and Sasha's future. But then, these are highly trained individuals we're dealing with here, so I should have had more faith.

My heart broke for Sasha. She really did lose so much in her short life. But she carried herself with such poise and maturity. She did come out a winner in the end.

The Harper I loved, the strong, feisty girl, was back. I was impressed with how she handled herself when she wasn't quite sure what was going on and who to trust.

James showed what he was made of. Yeah, he might be just a little crazy, and his methods are unconventional, but he's honest. And he was determined that he and Harper be free.

And I must mention that I loved getting a cameo of a favorite character. *sigh*

Coming For You was a thrilling conclusion to this series. Even though James and Harper's story has come to an end, I'm eager for the next stories in this world. Thank you, thank you, JA for sharing your imagination - creating gripping stories with characters I love.

“What’s on your mind, Smurf?”
Shit.
“I’m so, so, so, so hungry.” James stares at me and I can’t help myself. I squirm.
“Burlington has a McDonalds. We’ll get some breakfast there.”
I would die for McDonalds right now. “And then what are we gonna do?”
The plane drops the landing gear with a thud and this gives James the opportunity to ignore my question.
I don’t like when he ignores my questions. Because that means I won’t like the answer he’s not giving me. “We’re partners, right?” I ask him, suddenly feeling needy.
He turns back to me with a smile. I really love it when he smiles. Because as far as I can tell, the smiles are never fake. He never fakes the smiles. “Till death do us part, midget.”
I smile back. Because he’s funny. I really do like James. I’m just not sure I can trust James. And not because he’s shady. I really don’t think he is.
No the problem with James is... you never know when he’s there and when he’s not.
Because as far as I’ve been able to tell, Tet is in charge in all the situations that count. Not that I’ve seen him a whole lot, but he’s peeked out from behind that dark veil a few times. The most notable was back at Merc’s house in the desert when he told me he might have a plan. The second time was after Harper was drugged by One. I’m still not one hundred percent sure of who was actually in charge that first time. But the guy who told me he was going to shoot me in the chest, was definitely Tet.
And even though I think James is on the up and up, I have a hard time understanding how he can live two lives at the same time.
Everyone in the Company—and I do mean everyone—knows that James Fenici is a twisted dude.
You need him to kill his brother? No problem. Just tell Tet. You need him to kill a trainer’s kid? No problem. Just tell Tet. You need him to trail your daughter and lead everyone on a wild chase to take the heat off your son. No problem, just tell Tet.
But the problem with James and Tet doubles when you realize you can’t have one without the other. They are not two separate personalities.
They really are the same guy.
I think that makes James/Tet more insane than if he was one of those crazy people with split personality disorder. Because at least if they were two people you could sorta count on them—
individually speaking.
For instance. When the Admiral texted James and told him to come out to Colorado and “pick me up” what he really expected was for Tet to come out to Colorado to “pick me off”.
Nick told me the night before James showed up. He said, If you see him first, he’s James and you should give him a chance. If he shows up as Tet, you’ll never know he was there.
Is it fucked up that Nick didn’t just tell me to get the hell out of there?
I’m not sure.
But Tet wasn’t around when that text from the Admiral to come “pick me up” came in. James was.
And James was busy with Harper, so he didn’t need Tet.
See the Admiral, for all his uppity smugness, really has no clue how James/Tet operates. I suppose that’s why he instructed me to kill James that day. It was a two birds kind of thing.
I’m pulled out of my thoughts when the plane touches down, bounces once, then again, and we roll the rest of the way towards the small airport surrounded by cornfields on three sides.
When we come to a stop James stands up and stretches his arms above his head and touches the top of the cabin, pressing his hands flat against the curved plastic. “I’m starved too, McSmurf. And I need coffee.” He says that with a smile.
God, I love that smile. I might not like Tet all that much, and James is not one of those nurturing kinds of people like my dad was. But when he smiles at me like that, I absolutely love him.

I'm loving this serial! The way in which each installment begins with a chapter from the killer's POV is brilliant. It ratchets up the tension while delivering clues.

This one may be my favorite because of my delight in watching the dynamics between Kate and Jaxon change. Kate gave her trust, exposed herself, made herself vulnerable to Jaxon. I don't know a lot about BDSM but I felt Bell did a great job of conveying the power exchange in a D/s relationship. I feel I have a better understanding of Kate and Jaxon's pull on each other.

Ms. Bell also did an excellent job of stirring the pot. So many things came to light - hunts, clues, red herrings - I'm not sure I have any clue as to who's behind Alyssa's murder.

Whoa! I have to admit that even though the solution to the murder mystery had crossed my mind, I actually had pinned it on someone else. Hmm...

While I liked how everything shook out in the end, this might have been my least favorite in the series. Most likely because Kate and Jaxon didn't interact much. This final installment was good, don't get me wrong. It's just that it was all about the reveal and tying up everything and the element I most enjoyed were the characters growing and learning about themselves.

I loved this serial - so much. I binged and finished it all in 2 days. It was a nice blend of suspense, romance, and kink. And I feel like I was educated while being entertained.

I one-clicked this serial because Braine @Talk Supe loved it so much and I have to commend her for the recommendation. :) This first installment of White Collared grabbed me at page one and didn't let go. I'm choosing to read this serial in the same way I'd watch a movie or t.v. show - eh, some of the things maybe wouldn't happen in real life but they make for some great drama. 

Kate Martin is an ambitious, third year law student with a scary past she's hiding from. As an intern at a prestigious law firm, she's working for the man who's served as her inspiration while in law school. She keeps a tight rein on everything in her life - she wants control. When Nicholas Trenton requests she join him in litigating a high profile case, she would never have imagined what she was about to become a part of.

Nick is a brilliant civil attorney who is now representing his best friend, Jaxon Deveroux, in a criminal case - the murder of his wife, Alyssa. The case seems cut and dry, but when Jaxon's sexual proclivities are made known, the case become very complicated. And Kate is asked to step way out of her comfort zone in order to gather evidence.

Between the haunting memory flashbacks, the present danger Kate is putting herself in, and the sparks flying between Kate, Nick, and Jaxon, Marcy was a gripping read. Ms. Bell gave the right amount of information on everyone to keep me wondering what was going on. And I can't wait to find out!

Omigosh! This installment was even more thrilling!

As Kate and Nick continue to work on Jaxon's case, she and Jaxon attend Benediction, the sex club he and Alyssa belonged to, in order to do some undercover investigating. Jaxon and Kate do manage to find some leads. But the leads make Kate question what she thinks she knows.

Kate finds herself in so much danger. She and Jaxon are keeping their physical relationship under wraps as it could affect both his case and her career. Kate is also dealing with someone threatening her. She fears her secrets are close to being revealed. And she's in danger of losing her heart to a man...

Ms. Bell gives little hints but I can't put all the pieces together yet. The more information I'm given, the more confused I get. The suspense in the story is fantastic. The steam factor is as well. And all the elements - mystery, suspense, and steam are keeping me on edge!
