**Sidekick Showcase #22 ~ What an Angel**

Sidekick Showcase (previously known as Sidekick Saturday) is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by Jaclyn at JC's Book Haven. There are many secondary characters that are as great as the primaries. In some cases, the sidekicks actually steal the show and you like them better than the heroine or hero. Maybe they didn't have enough page time for how great they were. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Choose a sidekick *or someone other than the hero or heroine* that you would like to put in the spotlight that fits in this week's type
• Share a picture (if possible) and information about the character
• Give the title and author of a book the character can be found in
• Please don't include too many spoilers when describing why the character is such a great sidekick
• Put your link in the Linky thing and comment

**********************************
For the month of December, Jaclyn has given us a some creative license. We can pick any character that fits a Christmas-y theme...angel, elf, jolly, Grinch-y, etc. This week, I'm going literal...Angel

My pick is
Matthias, Guardian Angel
from Jennifer Laurens' Heavenly Series

In this series, Zoe, the heroine, feels rather lost among her autistic little sister and pothead brother. Then she meets Matthias, her little sister's guardian angel. Yep, Heaven sends guardian angels to watch over those who need special attention. Matthias is such a special angel. He's everything you think an angel should be, plus he's gorgeous and very protective of Zoe as well as her little sister. Naturally, Zoe falls for him. Matthias, though, is torn. He knows he shouldn't have feelings for Zoe and he really shouldn't pursue them. His feelings for Zoe set off a turn of events that ultimately bring about a battle between Heaven and Hell.

  2. Great choice, Brandee! I haven't read this series yet, but I do love me some angels :) I also didn't have time to do my Sidekick post this week because of traveling, but I'll think up someone good for next week :)

I finished Fearsome on the plane home and holy hotness, Batman!! Not sure exactly how much I loved the overall story, but my those sexy-times were scorching!

I hope your week has started out awesome :) *hugs*

    2. I'd love to do a 'duel'-review of Fearsome with you, Brandee. And yes, Carson!!! Even if he has his faults, too...

  3. Man, I love me some angels, and absolutely love being shown angel series that I haven't read yet. If you enjoyed this one, I have to add it to my to-read list. An angel watching over her autistic little sister? Oh my! That's so awesome. I love it already. Throw in the hottness and tragic situation for romance and it's got to be good :D Thank you so much for sharing this with me!! Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.

    1. I don't remember how I found this one, Jaclyn. It was after Twilight - when I picked up LOTS of YA. :) I loved the idea of her little sister having a guardian angel, too. I remember really enjoying it. I hope you'll like it too!

I hope your Monday was marvelous! :)

  4. I haven't read this series, but I love angels. Carter from Richelle Mead's Succubus series is still my favorite, but I love the idea of guardian angels. And a battle between heaven and hell, that's very Xena, Warrior Princess and I loved that storyline! Great pick, Brandee!
