Synopsis
DISCLAIMER: This book is part of a series. Spoilers might be contained in the description. For new readers, start your journey with Devlin and Coralie in Masters for Hire, now available everywhere!

They were two completely different people from two completely different worlds. Within two weeks they were married, for better or worse.

Their whirlwind romance did nothing to prepare Coralie Masters for what awaited the happy couple back home. Reality crushes the fairytale existence Devlin had created for her in Las Vegas. Ultimately his powerful seductive hold over her cannot protect her from new, powerful forces outside of their marriage that work nonstop to tear them asunder.

There is much more to fear than her family learning the truth of how and why they met, because there's much more to Dev's story that she could ever know. The mystery surrounding Devlin Masters quickly undermines their love story.

One thing becomes crystal clear. They may be married, but she doesn't really know this sexy, alluring stranger at all.

They love each other. They want each other. They can't stay away from each other.

But will it be enough?

The Groupie Saga titillated you. The Fullerton Family Saga broke your heart. We were only getting started. Book Two of the Masters Saga, Masters for Life, turns up all the Ginger Voight angst, drama and sex like never before.

**Author not responsible for broken Kindles.**

Intended for readers 18+ for graphic sexual content.

Oh the angst! Oh the drama! Coralie's life definitely took a turn towards the chaotic when she met Devlin Masters.

Masters for Life sees Coralie and Devlin trying to settle into their new life together while simultaneously making plans for the future. Coralie still has dreams for herself and her company. Devlin has plans as well but as he's not an open book by any stretch of the imagination, it's hard to know what his true plans are.

And, of course, there are obstacles. In fact, there are quite a few things standing in between them and their HEA. Their courtship was crazy fast and trust seems a sticking factor. And as things come to light and events occur, it seems Devlin may be the biggest obstacle. New players are introduced and the stakes are very high indeed.

I have to say that at times some of the angst and drama were a bit too much for me. There were so many times I wanted to shake both Coralie and Devlin. Or tell them to grow up. Their feelings for one another - their chemistry - is undeniable. But can they both move past the past and get over the hangups and insecurities to truly trust one another? That's the million dollar question.

Voight has spun a riveting story around Coralie and Devlin. I'm dying to know what happens next - especially after that ending. I'm fully invested in them and seeing their story to fruition despite the melodrama. One thing I've always appreciated about Voight's stories are the unconventional heroines. Coralie is one of those heroines, not fitting the standard of beauty which matters greatly since her family's business is in fashion. I relate to Coralie in certain ways and am enjoying seeing her blossom. Devlin is still such an enigma. He has quite a story that he seems unwilling, or at least very reluctant, to share. But I *need* to know. Some of the events though...I'm not sure he can talk his way out of. We'll see.

Voight also provides an interesting supporting cast, although we see less of Lucy and Gus, Gretchen, and Coralie's father, than in book one. I do like how Voight manages to weave in  cameos of characters from her other series as well. They all add a little something to the story as well as adding to the character development.

Even though some of the drama was a little much for me, I'm kinda tied up in knots over what comes next for Coralie and Devlin. It's a really good thing book #3, Masters Forever, is already available.

Synopsis
By all appearances, Coralie Cabot seems to have it all. Pedigree? Check. Money? Check. The right boyfriend, a 'nice' guy hand-picked by her father? Check. Everything is going along according to plan.

There's only one problem.

It's not her plan.

Coralie's safe, predictable life has all but been decided for her, and that leaves her itching to take a walk on the wild side.

Enter Devlin Masters, an elite male escort whose sole purpose is giving Coralie whatever her heart desires. As though he knows her down to her core, Devlin says and does all the right things--far better than her so-called Mr. Right back home. Hello, Mr. Wrong!

For a price, she can sow her wilder oats with this sexy 'bad boy', so strings attached.

Pretty soon the question isn't, "Should a good girl have sex with a naughty hottie for hire..."

It's "Will she ever want to stop?"

In Book One of a sizzling new saga from author Ginger Voight, Masters for Hire blurs the line between fantasy and reality with all the drama, angst, sex, and romance that made The Groupie and Fullerton Family Sagas beloved amongst her fans.

Intended for readers 18+ for graphic sexual content.

Ms. Voight has made the unconventional heroine a star! In Masters for Hire, she wrapped a compelling story around two characters who'd likely never have met if not for one wanting to shake things up a bit. And that meeting created quite a stir!

Coralie Cabot doesn't fit the mold of society's ideal when it comes to her body and fashion which is a source of constant consternation for her and her father since the Cabot family owns the upscale Cabot's Department Store. Since she doesn't fit in body-wise, she makes an art out of fitting in - not making waves - everywhere else. When she decided she'd had enough of nice and acting on everyone else's wishes but her own, I cheered. Because Coralie is just like us, even if she is wealthy. She wants to feel good about herself...she wants to be liked and desired for who she is just as she is. And I think most of us can identify with that. So her character resonated strongly with me.

Devlin Masters is a high-priced escort. He knows just how to give his clients exactly what they want. And when Coralie hires him, he thinks it'll be business as usual. But she's different - makes him feel different. Suddenly it's feeling like anything but business as usual between them.

Masters for Hire is kinda like Pretty Woman in reverse. Devlin pulls at your heartstrings despite being paid to have a silver tongue. I, like Coralie, found myself drinking in his every word even though we both question them. And of course we're pulling for Coralie and Devlin because they both deserve happiness. Right? I won't lie though - the deck is stacked against them. It remains to be seen if the feelings that result from their whirlwind courtship can sustain them.

Ms. Voight surrounded Coralie and Devlin with a strong couple in Lucy and Gus. I love Lucy's brashness in particular. The other cast members have strong foundations and I look forward to seeing them better fleshed out.

A minor issue I had with the story is all the champagne drinking that occurred along with references to smoking pot. It's a minor complaint and it's not that I'm opposed to either of these things but it seemed immature and irresponsible - and not quite in character for Coralie. (Note: I read an ARC. This may have been changed and/or removed in the final edit.)

Overall, I'm once again impressed with Ms. Voight's storytelling. She masterfully weaves together a captivating story with characters to fall for and wraps in relevant social subtext. I'm eager to see how Coralie and Devlin make their relationship work. Bring it on, Ms. Voight!

That's What HE Said #42 ~ Thirsty Thursday & Hungry Hearts #21

That's What He Said is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely ladies @Chapter Break. Here's the deal: every Thursday, post a line from your book boyfriend to his heroine. Keep in mind, these are direct quotes from dialog in the books. The quote doesn't have to be romantic - just something our hunky hero said to his lucky lady. Be sure to link up over at Chapter Break as well.

My pick this week for That's What He Said is from:

Masters for Hire by Ginger Voight

***

"You don't know what it means to be desired, and that's a goddamned shame. But by the end of this week, you'll never question it again."

And...

"You are a wonder to me, Coralie. More than anything I could have ever thought I wanted or needed."

And because I just can't help myself...

"I'm ready to make every promise and break every rule because it's all meaningless if you're not at my side. You're mine. And I never want to let you go."

*~*~*~*~*~*

Coralie and Devlin do a lot of champagne drinking but this is their first glass and first toast. It made me think of the first (and only) time I shared a really nice champagne with a special someone. It wasn't romantic at all but it sure was a lot of fun, wasn't it Lexxie?!? Was there singing involved?? I can't wait til next year! *bwahahaha*

"Nice dress," he commented as he motioned to the wine-colored number that lovingly hugged my curves.
"You should think so," I quipped. "You picked it."
The grin broadened. "So I did."
A waiter joined us, carrying a tray filled with flutes of bubbly champagne. Devlin snagged two and handed one to me. "To a wonderful night," he toasted. His eyes remained locked with mine as he drank. There I saw every promise of every romance novel I had ever read come to life.

He shrugged out of his jacket as I perched on the sofa to pour us our wine. It was a wonder I didn’t spill it everywhere. I couldn’t wrench my gaze away from his body if I tried. Those broad shoulders… that solid chest…the promise of that bulge in those slim-fitting pants…and for the next couple of hours or so it was all mine, bought and paid for.

My pulse raced as he sat next to me, so close that I became intoxicated on the spicy, woodsy scent of his cologne. I was sure he could see my hand tremble when I handed him his glass.

Those sultry eyes rendered me mute as he stared at me. Finally he raised his glass. “To old friends and new beginnings,” he said in a voice so soft, it felt like an actual caress.

I nodded as I clinked our glasses together. I couldn’t tear my eyes from his supple mouth as he drank. Again, I drained another glass. I reached for the bottle, but Devlin leaned forward to grab my hand. “You’re not going to need that,” he murmured in a low voice that sent a shock wave to my core.

“I’m–I’m not?” I stammered.

He shook his head. My head was floating as high as a cloud as he took the glass from my hand and set it on the coffee table in front of me. He eased back against the couch, capturing my face with his hand. His thumb brushed rhythmically over my cheek as he stared down into my face. “I think I know what you want, Coralie. I definitely know what you need. The question is… do you trust me to give it to you?”

My eyes widened as I stared up at him. Slowly I nodded. I stared at his mouth as it descended towards mine, closing over my lips finally in a soft, sensual kiss. My insides went up just like kindling as his broad tongue parted my lips and darted inside. He tasted like champagne. It only made me feel drunker.

And I blame the alcohol for the wanton way I threw my arms around his neck and kissed this enticing stranger back. I mean, I was only human for crying out loud. This man looked like he just stepped off the cover of a magazine, and here he was kissing me. He was kissing me. Me! His lips on mine, his hands on my body, his tongue penetrating my mouth with all the passion I’d only read about in romance novels. His fingers tangled in my hair as he deeply explored my mouth with that skilled tongue, and I felt my whole body come to life as a response.

I wanted more, and I was in the very unique position to take it, no questions asked.

He held me close, with one broad hand sliding up my side to cup the full curve of my breast. I gasped into his mouth as he thumbed my nipple through the fabric. He pulled away to stare down into my face. “You spent all your life taking care of everyone else, but no one has taken care of you, have they?”

I couldn’t even speak. I just shook my head.

“I’m going to change that,” he promised. “I’m going to change everything.”

Ginger Voight is a screenwriter and bestselling author with over twenty published titles in fiction and nonfiction. She covers everything from travel to politics in nonfiction, as well as romance, paranormal, and dark, “ripped from the headlines” topics like Dirty Little Secrets.
Ginger discovered her love for writing in sixth grade, courtesy of a Halloween assignment. From then on, writing became a place of solace, reflection, and security. This was never more true than when she found herself homeless in L.A. at the age of nineteen. There, she wrote her first novel, longhand on notebook paper, while living out of her car.
In 1995, after she lost her nine-day-old son, she worked through her grief by writing the story that would eventually become The Fullerton Family Saga.
In 2011, she embarked on a new journey–to publish romance novels starring heroines who look more like the average American woman. These “Rubenesque” romances have developed a following thanks to her bestselling Groupie series. Other titles, such as the highly-rated New Adult series, Fierce, tap into the “reality-TV” preoccupation in American entertainment, which gives her contemporary stories a current, pop culture edge.
Known for writing gut-twisting angst, Ginger isn’t afraid to push the envelope with characters who are perfectly imperfect. Whether rich, poor, sweet, selfish, gay, straight, plus-size or svelte, her characters are beautifully flawed and three-dimensional. They populate her lavish fictional landscapes and teach us more about the real world in which we live simply through their interactions with each other. Ginger’s goal with every book is to give the reader a little bit more than they were expecting, told through stories they’ll never forget.

In the third and final book of the Fullerton Family Saga, long-simmering secrets explode with disastrous consequences. The fractured Fullertons face their biggest challenges yet, and every single one must rise to their own personal challenges and beat their demons once and for all - no matter what it takes.

In the conclusion of this best-selling, highly rated series, author Ginger Voight once again raises the stakes for her characters and her readers. These characters you have grown to love (and hate) are faced with heart-wrenching challenges that will test them unlike anything they've experienced so far. In the end, only love can save them. It is a message of hope, family and forgiveness amidst the exciting backdrop of excess and power.

**TEASER**

I was still awake, and still livid, when Drew came to bed closer to midnight. He shrugged out of
his shirt. “Such disapproval,” he murmured. “What exactly did I do now?”

“I’m still trying to wrap my mind around your using Jonathan to lure Alex into some kind of
trap.”

“I told you. It’s only a trap if he’s doing something wrong.”

“Whatever. In the future, leave Jonathan out of it.”

He cocked an eyebrow as he stood next to the bed, his hands on his hips. “Excuse me?”

“Whatever is between you and Alex has nothing to do with Jonathan. He’s a little boy torn in two
with loyalty and affection for the both of you. I refuse to stand by and allow you to squander his good
faith and his trust to make some kind of point.”

Anger sharpened his features as he stared down at me. “Allow me?” he repeated. “And who,
exactly, gave you authority to question me on how I parent my son?”

“You did,” I told him. “You wanted Jonathan to have a mother, and now he has one. If you think
you’re going to use him like some wadded up piece of tissue paper, you’re going to have to get through
me first. I’m not just your paid flunky anymore. I’m your wife, and the mother of your children. This
family will not run like your business. We work together – honestly and openly – or not at all. Got it?”

His eyes never left my face as he slipped out of his pants and crawled into bed. He wrapped his
hand around the back of my neck and pulled me close, his mouth hovering just an inch over my own.
“There’s that fire I missed,” he murmured. His mouth descended toward my own, but I resisted, pushing
back against his hand while I met his gaze dead on.

“Got it?” I repeated.

A smile broke apart on his face. “Absolutely,” he answered.

“Good,” I said. “Goodnight, Drew.”

I slipped from his hand and turned my back to him, turned off the light and disappeared under the
covers.

**Tissue Alert ~ Y'all know I love you and that is why I'm giving you advance warning that you're gonna need tissues for this one.**

I can't even begin to process the storm of emotions I'm feeling after finishing this book. I never envisioned this sort of ending for this family, even if it was rather fitting. Ms. Voight gutted me, honestly. And then, like the sun breaking through the storm clouds, she shone light on all the love and hope still remaining.

As y'all know from my previous reviews, this family's story has been intensely emotional. This installment was even more so. I expected the intensity to continue between Rachel, Drew, and Alex now that Rachel and Drew are married. I expected the drama courtesy of Elise, Jonathan's mother, as she continued to battle for custody and ultimately Drew's money. I might have even predicted the events surrounding Fullerton Enterprises, Inc's political ties. I did not, however, expect Ms. Voight to make me love Drew Fullerton. I've never been his champion in this series and I quite fell in love with the man in Enraptured. I LOVE HIM! And I ended up having quite the snot-fest over him. *sniff*

I'm so impressed with Ms. Voight's ability to convey how family dynamics and how one is raised, affects the people we become. If you lack love and/or approval growing up, it's something you crave and constantly search for. If you had those things, you want to share them with others. I relished Ms. Voight's belief in the transformative and restorative abilities of love. Bearing witness to Rachel's love and strength as she does her best to protect her children and heal the Fullerton family - including mending fences between the stubborn Fullerton men - was awe-inspiring.

I can't even discuss more than how Enraptured made me feel. There are many things that occur in this final segment of the story. But at it's heart, this story has always been about love, family, and forgiveness. Drew and Alex gave much credit to Rachel for changing their lives and touching them with love - but their love for her was equally as life-changing.

The Fullerton Family Saga is emotional ride. That Ms. Voight could evoke so much emotion from me (I'm still crying over this), make me completely change my stance about a character, speaks volumes about her writing. She's a must-read author for me and I highly recommend this trilogy.
