This week's Features are:
Jelly @Jelly's Insider
Reading...Dreaming
This week's question is:
We are always talking about the books we want. Let's turn it on its head. What books have you given to other people lately?
The last books I gifted were Christmas gifts. I gave Killing Kennedy to my Mom, America Again: Re-becoming the Greatness We Never Weren't to my hubby, the Leviathan series to one of my daughters, Drama to my other daughter, and The Universe in a Nutshell to my son. I do come from a family of readers...with extremely diverse interests! :)
How about you? What books have you gifted lately?

ReplyDeleteThanks! And yes, there is quite a bit of diversity. :) I'm sure your future family will include readers. I think reading to them and them seeing me read is partly why my kiddos are such avid readers!
DeleteThanks for hopping over - enjoy your weekend! :)
Diverse interests indeed! Me and my sisters have some books in common, but we also have our diverging interests :)
ReplyDeleteBooks make great gift choices :D

Yeah I just buy for people at Xmas time too! My friend is the easiest because she reads paranormals--thanks to me! And I buy her ones I think she doesn't have every Xmas!

It is very nice to have a friend who reads the same sort of books! :)
DeleteEnjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by...
I really want to read Killing Kennedy. I love it when people gift books and it makes me jealous because no one gifts them to me. LOL!
ReplyDeleteJessica @ Literary, etc
(new follower via FB & Twitter)
My mom enjoyed Killing Kennedy. :) I love getting books as gifts as well. I don't get too many anymore since I work in a bookstore! ;)

I haven't given away too many books in a while. I'll have to change that.
ReplyDeleteOld follower :) Megan @ Megz Madd Readz (my F&F)
Hey Megan! Yeah, I haven't gifted that many either. I am constantly telling friends about books they SHOULD read though...maybe I'll have to start gifting those. :)

I don't know any of these books, to be honest :X They sound good, though.
ReplyDeleteWell, I can't personally recommend The Universe in a Nutshell although my son rates it highly ;) but the others are good. Thanks for hopping by. :)

DeleteThanks for the follow - I'll hop over to your blog and follow back.
Enjoy your weekend!
We used to give book in my family too, but some have taken up other habits *gasp* how could they? My older brother still tries to give me books for holidays and birthdays but every time he says what about this one or that one I have to admit that I've already picked it up. He can't keep up with me LOL. This Christmas I told him just get a gift card it's easier :)
ReplyDeleteTraci @ Mad Hatter Reads
I always got books for gifts...until I started working in a bookstore. Now my family seems to think that I'll just pick up whatever it is I want to read, so they don't bother. :( I DO still enjoy getting books though. Anyway, I LOVE giving them - it's always so exciting to me to give a family member something I KNOW they're going to love. :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by, Traci!
Loved Leviathan! I enjoy giving books to my family too -- that way I have someone to discuss them with. My FF
ReplyDeleteYeah, Westerfield rocks! :) My oldest daughter laughs at me because her TBR list stays a mile long because of all the books I read and then tell her she must read. :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by. Enjoy your weekend!
Sounds like some great gifts.

Nothing weird about being a reader! ;) I'm glad you read anyway! :) My hubby and one of my daughters don't read quite as much as the rest of us, but I'm glad it's something we can all share. :)
