**Life's Playlist ~ February**

My pal, Robyn, over at robgirlbooks, has issued a challenge. She wants us to come up with a song - one a month - that we turn to when life is getting us down...when we need a pick-me-up...the song we turn to when trying to get motivated for cleaning the house...the song we hear when we need inspiration...well, you get the picture. :) At the end of the year, we'll have quite the playlist for life!

This month, we need a song that helps you 'Just Do It'!

My choice is:

I have to confess that really ANY song by the Foo Fighters makes me want to 'Just Do It'. I use them for my alarm because listening to them, I can't help but need to get up and get movin'! ;) I listen to them for exercising as well. I LOVE the Foo Fighters!

Sky's choice:

Berk's choice:

Jax's choice:

Jax is currently obsessed with the Beatles. :)

  1. How fun! I love all the songs. I don't listen to Foo Fighters nearly enough. I need to check out a few of their CDs from the library. And you have to tell Sky anime has a special place in my heart, so I grinned through the whole song even though it was very grrrh. I don't think I've ever heard Maneater, but I love Nelly Furtado and I loved the song! Seriously, how cool is Jax music phase? Will went through a Queen phase when he was in preschool. He was nonverbal then, but he'd smile and make this gesture that meant replay. I will use these song to motivate me to move my butt this month too! (I would have commented earlier, but I sacrificed my computer to John to keep the peace during the game meaning I watched the whole thing-craziness!)

    1. I love, love, love the Foo Fighters, Robyn. Dave Grohl is just...yum! :) I will tell Sky - her music (other than what we listen to in common) isn't my thing. And her choice was quite Grrr, wasn't it? *haha* I have to tell you that when Berk told me her choice and then I listened to it, I thought "my daughter knows this song??" Of course, she heard it at Guard practice. :) Yes, Jax does love some great music. He keeps getting new cd's so that his repertoire expands. :) He sings them almost non-stop. It's soooo cool that Will had a thing for Queen. I'm definitely a fan. :)

  2. LOVE the Beatles and Foo Fighters! I saw Foo Fighters perform with the Red Hot Chili Peppers several years ago with my husband before we started dating. :) I believe Muse opened for them. LOVE Muse, too! They were at Austin City Limits (Muse)!! You guys picked some great songs!

  4. This is a fun post. Music doesn't tend to have the ability to get me moving though LOL I'm not a big music person, and when I do listen to it, it's usually because I want to relax and just chill. so opposite impact. Of course I listen to a lot of R&B so that's a bit on the chill side probably.

    1. I use music to chill, too, Berls. :) Luckily, music does motivate me...I'd be in trouble on the treadmill, otherwise. ;)

  6. Great choices in songs, Brandee! I think I just might join this challenge :) I love music (as if you didn't know that *grins*) and I have songs for everything. My oldest daughter makes fun of me, because very often, when she's talking about something, I'll answer with a few choice lines of a song :D

I'm safely back home, and I had a great time in Norway with Anders. It was great to see him again - even for only three days. We both stocked up on hugs, and it was a less hard to say goodbye this time. I even got to see a hockey game, and he's improved in the month he's been playing with a senior team. Even if they lost the game, it was a lot of fun to watch :)

Have a great day, my friend *BIG HUGS*

    1. *haha* I told Sky what you said about using lyrics, Lexxie. She said "hmm, sounds like something you'd do." ;)

I'm glad you had a great trip and got to stockpile some hugs and see a hockey game, too! That's wonderful. And I know it meant a lot to Anders. But I'm glad you're back. ;) *hugs*

  8. You're absolutely right :D Can't go wrong with the Foo. Also, Beatles are usually a good choice ;) The Nelly Furtado song is a good club dance song and definitely makes you want to move. I love them all! Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven. <- my comment disappeared LOL I think it was offended that I misspelled the Beatles so I corrected that. Hopefully it will accept my unfailing apologies.
