Synopsis
“How do I tell the woman I love that I fathered a son with a prostitute?”

After four long years of separation, Gavin has finally reunited with his childhood love Corabelle. She’s forgiven him for leaving her during the funeral of their seven-day-old baby, and also for where he ended up — in Mexico to get a vasectomy.

A message from Rosa, a prostitute he met the day of his surgery, brings his life to a crashing halt. She claims Gavin has fathered a son, now three years old and living with her cousin in Ensenada. He doesn’t know if he can trust Rosa, who never mentioned the boy before, or if his delicate reconciliation with Corabelle can withstand the shock if it is true.

Corabelle believes their future together is the right thing despite their past. But when she learns of this other child, the one thing she lost long ago and might never have again with Gavin, Corabelle’s faith that her life will ever follow her old dream is shattered. To make things right for Gavin and his son, she just might have to let go of the only person she always believed would be her forever love.

Forever Loved is the heart-wrenching conclusion to the passionate story that began with Forever Innocent.

Forever Loved is the conclusion to Corabelle and Gavin's story. We see them facing more hardships but realizing they have the strength to face them...together.

In Forever Loved, Corabelle is hospitalized following her trip into the Pacific and subsequent bout of pneumonia. As she's struggling to heal, Gavin is faced with a situation that could change the course of things with Corabelle. He's quite unsure of how she will handle the news that might have fathered another child. And it's not news he wants to share with Corabelle being in such a fragile state.

Forever Loved is an angsty, emotional read. Corabelle and Gavin are still working through their common issues over the death of Finn, and having Corabelle's illness and the reason behind it, Corabelle's parents presence, and the possibility of Gavin having fathered a child with Rosa, all certainly ratcheted up the tension. My guts were tied in knots for much of the book.

But I loved seeing the strength of both Corabelle and Gavin - strength I don't think they realized they had. They proved they'd both grown - they were open and honest with one another no matter how difficult it was. And with a little help from Tina and Jenny, I think they both, but especially Corabelle, realized that they didn't have to face things alone.
"The most important thing was letting people in, allowing others to be there for you, and no matter how dark things got, to harbor that one last light." pg 164, eARC
The only reason this isn't a 5 bookworm read is that the issue of Corabelle's mental health isn't completely addressed. She was never honest with her parents about certain events, although she did share the information with Gavin. This may be explored further in the next book, which is Tina's book. I hope so because although I believe Corabelle and Gavin can now weather any storm, I would have felt more certain if she'd received some more counseling.

Forever Loved was an ideal ending for Corabelle and Gavin's story. It's not an easy story. They've been through so much. But in the end, they learned from their mistakes, they matured, and they realized what they have in each other.
