Yours, For Now by Siren Allen
Genre: Contemporary Erotic Romance
Release Date: 23 September 2013
Elizabeth Kemp never thought she'd ask friend and colleague, Preston Lancaster to be her submissive. Even more surprising, he agrees – on one condition: she has to return the favor.
Her two weeks as his Domme ends with a dramatic climax she wasn't prepared for – she's Dr. Preston Lancaster has been in love with Elizabeth since the day they met. His two weeks with her are more than he ever imagined, but when the tables are turned, she refuses to make good on her promise to reciprocate. Preston isn't giving up without a fight, but he's not fighting for two weeks of dominance anymore. He's fighting for forever.
Can Preston convince Elizabeth that her heart is safe with him – or will two weeks be all he has?

From Lust to Love
In my new book, Yours, For Now, my characters don’t start off madly in love and destined to walk down the aisle together. They start off madly in lust with hopes of ending up in bed or on the floor, maybe against the wall….basically anywhere they can be alone so that they can show each other how attracted they are to one another.
Even though their plan is to only be ‘friends with benefits,’ things change between them when they both realize that their lives are not complete without the other. What started out as lust turns to love thanks to their long nights together and their working so close together every day.
Preston gets used to waking up next to Elizabeth every morning and Elizabeth gets used to having Preston’s arms wrapped protectively around her every night while she’s sleep. They both soon realize that lust brought them together but love is what’s making them want to stay together.
Problems arise due to miscommunication. Neither wants to tell the other how they feel for fear of being rejected. Will they be able to work through their issues? Or will their foolish pride take what could have been a grand romance and make it nothing more than a two week pleasure tour? You have to read the book to find out, but I will tell you this, Elizabeth’s and Preston’s journey from lust to love was very fun to write and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Now that I’ve told you a little bit about Elizabeth and Preston’s journey from Lust to Love, it’s your turn to tell me your thoughts on the subject. Do you think people can maintain a ‘friends with
benefits’ relationship without someone getting hurt in the process? Share your thoughts and one lucky commenter will receive their choice of a pair of ‘Yours, For Now’ mini-book earrings or a Yours, For Now, mini book necklace.
Hi, my name is Siren Allen. I’m a writer and lover of all things erotic and romantic. I reside in southern Mississippi where I write steamy romances that are guaranteed to make you blush. When I’m not listening to the characters in my head and jotting down their adventures, I am busy working as a Clinical Laboratory Technician. I love to travel, preferably with my husband, so he can do all of the driving. I enjoy time with my family, who are just as silly as I am. I have no children…yet, wish me luck! My hobbies are reading, writing and shopping, though I hate trying on clothing. If I wasn’t a writer or a Laboratory Professional, I would probably be a Secret Agent. But that’s the beauty of being a writer; you can create your own world and be whoever you want to be. In my imaginary world, I am Queen and my siblings are my minions.
This sounds very intense and interesting. Thanks for sharing, Brandee!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about it! Thanks, Andrea!
DeleteThis sounds really interesting. Definitely adding it to my TBR
ReplyDeleteI hope you like it, Kelly! Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteI've seen this guy on other covers but this is the first time I saw his resemblance to RPatz. He looked like he fell asleep here though, the chick is rockin it on the other hand. Great GP.
ReplyDeleteLOL I don't know if I've seen him on covers before but that was my first thought, too, Braine. Well, the RPatz resemblance...and then the boredom! LOL I'm glad you liked the GP. :)
DeleteI think the characters' journey from lust (against the wall *ahem*) to love sounds like a fun tale to read. I do enjoy when characters think they don't need each other or think they will fall in love with each other, but attraction and proximity make it happen. I'm not sure how I feel about the friends with benefits thing, never having tried it out. I have a tendency to be good friends with guys and won't jeopardize that with romance if the friendship was there and strong first. That being said, I've never been in the situation to just be a friend with benefits so I'm not entirely sure how that would play out, but it seems like there is no doubt that one person at least would develop feelings that were stronger if both didn't. Thanks for sharing! Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Jaclyn! :)
DeleteI love that this isn't insta-love, since that never sits well with me. Serious lust, however, I can get behind LOL! OH and I love this cover :-) As to the question - no I don't think "friends with benefits" ever works... it seems that someone always ends up caring more than the other and someone gets hurt - so we'll see what happens here! I really look forward to reading this one!
ReplyDeleteLOL Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Berls! I look forward to seeing what you think once you've read it. :)
DeleteI'm not usually into BDSM stories, but I think Yours, For Now is a book I'd enjoy. I love it when the characters I read about struggle with admitting their real feelings, and hey, if there's hot sex against the wall to get them to that point, I'm all for it ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for making me add another book to my TBR shelf, Brandee, you know it's almost empty, right? *hugs*

LOL I'm thrilled this post has gotten such a response! I'm looking forward to seeing how these two characters make their way to love myself. I'm glad I could help keep your TBR from getting too bare, Lexxie. ;) Thanks for dropping by!
