Happy Friday and welcome to the Blog Hop!
Feature & Follow is a weekly blog hop hosted by the talented ladies behind AlisonCanRead and Parajunkee's View. The intent of this blog hop is to get out there and meet other bloggers and gain new followers yourself. What sets this blog hop apart is the Feature. Each week, two blogs are featured, one at AlisonCanRead and one at Parajunkee's View. So make sure to hop over to those blogs to check out this week's Features.

I started following Lexxie about a year ago, after I found her here on Feature Friday. :) I love the way Lexxie reviews books and after following her for awhile, I realized we read LOTS of the same books. And after a little while longer, she and I began conversing via comments. As our conversations continued, Lexxie and I have found we have lots in common, too! I absolutely adore Lexxie, and our discussions on books, our gargantuan TBRs, our one-click addiction, kids, and life in general, are a bright spot in my day and always leave me smiling! Thanks, Lexxie! *hugs*
1) When did you start blogging?
I started blogging on June 2nd 2012. I had first joined a message board about Twilight, and some of my fellow readers there and I started a another message board for a more mature audience than the teens who squeed. Then, I found Goodreads, and bloggers there, and it opened a whole new world to me. I wanted the pretty background, my own avatar, and more liberty about how and what to post.
2) What is your favorite part of blogging?
One of my favorite parts of blogging is the community! I have met so many nice bloggers, some who enjoy the same books as I do, and others who don't - but the sense of community is still there. And I love being able to visit other blogs, and feel right at home. Of course, finding ever more books to add to my bulging TBR shelf is a good thing, I just keep hoping I will live long enough to be able to read them all.
3) What types of books do you mainly blog about?
I blog about anything fiction. I read books in all genres, YA, NA, romance - both contemporary and historical, paranormal, science fiction, high fantasy, you name it. As long as it's fiction, I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it. I even sometimes read non-fiction but it has to be about a subject or a person I like, if not, I find it a little tedious. I call myself a genre omnivore *grins*
4) What is your favorite book(s)?
My favorite books... oh my goodness, how many can I choose? I sometimes opt out of Top Ten Tuesday questions because mine would have rather been a top twenty list. But I guess I do have some books I always feel like I could actually read again. I 'm going with Maeve Binchy's Circle of Friends, Stefenie Meyer's Twilight Saga - because it started my love for books and reading again a few years ago, Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian, Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist (and others), Kim Harrison's The Hollows series, and I also enjoy reading Shakespeare; both plays and sonnets.
I'll check it out!

Delete*smooch* Brandee! I think it's even more fun that we actually chose each other for today! And I love discussing books, life, kids and one-clicking with you. Thank you for featuring me, my friend. I hope your Friday will be awesome. Here it's cooled down so much over night I'm almost worried it will snow soon.
ReplyDelete*smooch* to you Lexxie! :) My Friday has been just fine...my middle schoolers were out of school today and the snow stayed to the west of us. ;) I hope you don't get snow yet...And I hope your Friday was lovely!

DeleteThis was great, Brandee. I loved reading your interview on Lexxie's blog, and hers here. Twilight got a lot of us started. I hope you two get to meet. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Robyn! You know, it'd be really fantabulous if you, Jaclyn, Lexxie and I all got to meet! DREAM BIG, right?? (another mantra LOL)
DeleteYep - whether you love or hate Twilight, I think the reading community, and publishers should be grateful for what Ms. Meyer did for us all! :)
Have a super weekend, my friend!
Lexxie is a terrific choice! I read both of hers and your posts everyday through email (and try to find the time to come chat too) and you both put smiles on my faces and books in my TBR! Love that you did the FF interview too! Have a great weekend!
