**When Life's Kicking Your Butt, How About a Theme Song? ~ August**




My pal, Robyn, over @robgirlbooks, issued a challenge for the year. She wants us to come up with a song - one a month - that we turn to when life is getting us down...when we need a pick-me-up...the song we turn to when trying to get motivated for cleaning the house...the song we hear when we need inspiration...well, you get the picture. :) At the end of the year, we'll have quite the playlist for life!

This month, the theme is Movie Soundtrack ~ any song from a movie that makes you happy, giggle, feel good! ;)

    I really love Supermassive Black Hole and I won't say I'm in love. Those are two of my favorites. What a great list! So many different types of songs :D Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.

      Thanks, Jaclyn! Yes, everyone in my house likes what they like - but we have a lot of music in common, too. And there is almost always music playing. :)

    I feel a Twilight movie marathon coming on. I'm that easy. Of course I've seen all these movies. Will loves the scene in Madagascar where Alex keeps falling into worse painful trouble. He acts out that scene until you laugh right along with him. I never noticed the song playing along because of Will's squeals and chirps. I was listening to Sky's pick for a while and finally I had to check how long the song was. I cracked up. That girl. I think "Oh, not insane anime...Oh, bounding instrumental for almost 15 minutes." The lyrics really stood out in Berk's pick. Still the winner is Twilight because I'm thinking while I fold the mountain of laundry accumulated during my Rock Chick reading marathon, I'll hit that series.

      I thought the same thing, Robyn. Too bad we don't live closer. :/ One of the things I enjoyed about the Twilight movies was being introduced to music I didn't know. The movies have some great soundtracks! Madagascar is one of my favs too - and obviously Berk's. :) LOL I didn't realize Sky's pick was so long. Ooops.
