Synopsis
When a teacher gets stuck at the top of the Ferris wheel at the fair, cranes and planes can't reach her. The only one who might have a chance is Yellow Copter!
With a rollicking rhyme and candy-colored illustrations, this is the perfect read-aloud for any fan of machines that are big, make loud noises, or fly--or all three at once.
Yellow Copter is a cute story of a new hero on the block. When teacher needs to be rescued, Yellow Copter is there to help!
I liked that a unique machine was the only one capable of helping out in this situation. I also liked the colored words in the dialog as I think it aids little ones with word recognition. With brilliant illustrations combined with clever rhyme and sound effects, Yellow Copter is sure to be a read-aloud favorite.
It's so cute I want to bite into it, lol. Children's books are like rainbows - just looking at them makes everything better :)
ReplyDeleteTrue confession, when I go to a bookstore, I still go to the children's aisle and check the pop up books. I used to do that with my son and now that hes 18, I guess ill Carry the tradition for us until the time comes where I have grandkids lol
ReplyDeleteRainbows, love your metaphors!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you reviewed children's books! I literally did a double take to see what blog I was in :) Sounds like a cute story.
ReplyDeleteCute! I never thought to review a kids book. I sure got plenty to pick from. My kids have hundreds. Yeah, we're a real bookish family.
ReplyDeleteYour family sounds a lot like mine, Marilyn! ;)
ReplyDelete**Hahaha** I used to be the Children's/Teen Lead at B&N so I like to read picture books. :) So when I was asked to review this one, I was happy to. :) I love that you had to do a double take though...definitely not what you typically see around here! ;)
ReplyDeleteMe too!!! Well, not only popup books...I love to sit in the children's section and pick up the new picture books. Luckily, I have some friends with younger children so I can still share some of my favs. ;) I better not get grandkids for at least 15 years!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI completely agree, Ramona. Sitting in the children's section and pouring over picture books is still a favorite pastime of mine. :)
