Today, I'm celebrating Thanksgiving. That means I'll be eating waaay too much and I'll be parked in front of the t.v. for the Dallas Cowboys game. (I said I'd be parked there, not that I'll be watching...I'll be reading, of course. But shhh...please don't tell my family in Texas! ;) In honor of the holiday, I wanted to list a few things I'm grateful for.

I'm extremely grateful for my happy and healthy family. I'm grateful to live in this beautiful state. I'm also grateful for great books and the fabulous authors who write them. And I'm grateful for all my blogging friends, too. It's been such a pleasure getting to know y'all!!

To those of you celebrating, Happy Turkey Day. To those of you who don't live here in the U.S., please know that I'm thankful for you!

  1. I will be reading in front of that game too! My mom already made the pies. Oh my goodness. I really don't care about any of the other food, but pie and ice cream I get two times a year! I wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving, Brandee!

    1. I hope you enjoyed the games, Robyn. ;) I made a pecan pie...it's gone. Of course, there are only 8 slices and 5 of us...so I'm thinking next year, I'll make 2!

I hope you and your family had a lovely Thanksgiving, Robyn!!

  3. Happy Thanksgiving Brandee *hugs* I hope you are having a great time with your family and loved ones, and that the food is both good and plentiful. I love how you 'cheat' about the football game... I usually have a book with me when I park myself on the couch next to my family and they watch TV, too :)

I'm thankful for bloggers as well! It is so amazing to have this whole new network of book-geeks I can hang out with virtually. *hugs*

  4. Happy to be friends with you too, Brandee! Get stuffed and park yourself, I'll be doing the same thing. Happy Thanksgiving and there's nothing better than having the love and health of your family and friends.

  5. I watched football all day yesterday (reading, lol). It was such a nice relaxing day hanging out with my fam and eating good food and reading and football. I do love football. I usually read while my husband watches TV or plays his video games. I'm not terribly huge into TV. There's nothing like a good book, right! :D Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you had a terrific day, and I am so thankful to have met you and call you my friend. <3

I'd love to live in Colorado! My friend lived there for a couple of years while her husband was stationed there, and she wishes they could be sent back there again. There's a HUGE reason I want to live in Colorado after a certain law was passed, LOL!!!! ;D

    1. That's the best way to watch football, no? I'm glad you had such a wonderful day, Jennifer. Being with family, eating good food, and football...yep, that's what it's all about! LOL

Ahh, one of mu uncles teases my parents about the "Rocky Mountain High" being the reason they like visiting us! ;) I hope you get to at least visit sometime. ;)
