**Feature & Follow #16**
Welcome to the Blog Hop! And check out the amazing new button! :)
Feature & Follow is a weekly blog hop hosted by the talented ladies behind AlisonCanRead and Parajunkee's View. The intent of this blog hop is to get out there and meet other bloggers and gain new followers yourself. What sets this blog hop apart is the Feature. Each week, two blogs are featured, one at AlisonCanRead and one at Parajunkee's View. So make sure to hop over to those blogs to check out this week's Features.
This week's Features are:
Readiculously Peachy
Gone Bookserk
This week's question is: What is a book that you didn't like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn't popular?
Hmm, I'm going to answer the second half of this question while I think about the first...I was worried about the mixed reviews Beautiful Bastard received but I read it anyway. And I have to say that I LOVED it. I think one book that I didn't love quite as much as everyone else seemed to is The Night Circus. I didn't hate it...on the contrary there was quite a bit I liked. But I just thought it could have been more so I didn't understand all the fuss. Oh, one other book...I really didn't care for The Sound and the Fury at all!! I read it and I could appreciate why it's a classic (I did major in English ;) but it just did absolutely nothing for me.
Okay, what about y'all?!?

My F&F
Thanks for following! I hope you find some good reads here on my blog. :) Have a great weekend.
DeleteInteresting to hear about THE NIGHT CIRCUS. That's one I've meant to read for a while. Old Follower :)
ReplyDeleteYou may totally love it! I just thought the author could have done so much more. If you do read it, I'd love to hear your thoughts...
DeleteYou know what? I was really digging The Night Circus until the very end. I still love the book, though, but towards the ending I felt my love was waning. However, is that how relationships work, anyway?
ReplyDeleteDidn't you think that she could have done more with the time period, etc.? I did like the book - just didn't love it. And you, my friend, have a very cynical opinion on relationships! ;)
DeleteNever heard of Beautiful bastards! Sounds interesting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I am now also following you :)
Florentine @ Readiculously Peachy

Let me know what you think if you read it. :)
DeleteI loved the Night Circus, but it's one of those books that I can see why everyone doesn't like it. Never read Sound & Fury.... Hope you are reading something GREAT right now! My FF
ReplyDeleteSince you're a fan of historicals, didn't you feel like the author could have done a bit more with the time period? Anyway, didn't hate it, just didn't love it. And Faulkner...well, I'm never going to a fan, I guess. :) Have a grand weekend, Annette! :)
DeleteNew follower!
ReplyDeleteI agree about The Sound and the Fury. Not one I enjoyed.
