Challenge Updates ~ October ~ Blog Ahead Challenge, #2015HW, #ShelfLove, Mythology Reading Challenge, LGBT Reading Challenge, 2015 New Release Reading Challenge, Historical Romance Reading Challenge, Erotic Romance Reading Challenge, New-to-You Reading Challenge

Really?!? Another month...GONE! 2015 is three quarters over and I'm wondering where the time has gone. I'm continuing to make good progress on most of my challenges, and I even joined a few new ones. And I'm still enjoying reading whatever I want, finding I've been hoarding some really GOOD books! Here's my update:

The Blog Ahead Challenge was hosted by Anna @herding cats & burning soup and Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. My goal was to get 31 posts prepared and scheduled. And I'm happy to say that I reached me goal...barely, but I did it! It was hard making the big push this last week since I've been so busy with kids and band, and then sick. I'm feeling so good to have these posts done though. It'll be such a stress relief going into the holiday season.

Well, I made a good run at it, but I *FAILED* my Reading Challenge this month. I still plan on reading the books I had left to read, and I'll mark them as Reading Challenge when I post the reviews, but still...I failed. I can't believe I made it this far into the challenge only to fail but there is only so much time in a day and, well, .......  I have enjoyed this challenge so much and I hope Berls and Michelle do it again next year!

Once again, I really showed my shelves some love! Since it was #OctobeRecFest month, all but 2 of the books I read were books I already owned! Woohoo! I read 9 books towards this challenge bringing my total to 71 books so far! You can click here to check out the books and their reviews on Goodreads or click on the book images below. 

This challenge is hosted by Niji Feels. My goal is to reach Genre Hopper status, 3-10 LGBT books in any genre.

I've reached my goal of reading 3-10 books LGBT books in any genre. Yay! I didn't read any books towards this challenge in October but I'm still hoping to finish Ella Frank's Try trilogy soon. And I have the next book in Riley Hart's Blackcreek series to read as well. :)

I have finished this challenge since I challenged myself achieve God level or 6-10 books and I added another book to this list in October. So I've read 7 total. (I'm actually wondering if Patricia Briggs' books would fit this challenge?) Anyway, I'll continue to add books here as I read them because, hey, sometimes I'm an over-achiever. ;) Here are the books I've read so far:

Lexxie @Unconventional Book Views and Stormi @Books, Movies, Reviews! Oh My! are co-hosting this year-long challenge to read books being released in 2015. Originally, I challenged myself to reach New Release Newbie status - or 1-15 books. Since I met that goal, I decided to aim higher. ;) I set a new goal of New Release Pro - or 16-30 books. And I've now met that goal as well! Goodness! I really didn't think I'd read that many new releases this year. So, keeping in mind we're ~6 months into the year, I've set a new goal of New Release Enthusiast - or 45+ books. In October, I added THREE more New Releases to my list. Woohoo! ;) That brings my total to 52 New Releases - which means I have kicked this challenge's butt! ;) 

I am officially a New Release Enthusiast!!!

Guess what?!? I joined a few more challenges! Yep. In October. Anna @Herding Cats & Burning Soup is hosting 3 of the challenges (she and Kimba @Caffeinated Reviews are hosting 1) and she made it sooo easy to join, I couldn't resist. The rules are easy-peasy and any books I've read earlier this year were retroactive, so... See, it was too easy *not* to join. For full details on any of these challenges, just click the banner.

This challenge is so easy since any historical romances over 80 pages counts, anything set prior to 1920 counts, fusion reads count, 

and cross-overs from other challenges count. Since I'd already read quite a few HRs, I'm aiming for Level 3 which is 3-24 books. So far, I've read or listened to 10. 

Again, this challenge was so easy to join considering any erotic romance over 80 pages counts, fusion reads count, and cross-overs from other challenges count. Since I'd already read a few erotic romances, I'm shooting for Level 2 which is 2-12 books.

So super easy to join...Any "new to you" book, 

meaning a debut author, a brand new author to you, an old favorite's new book, a new series, or a new to you genre. I've read so many new-to-me authors this year...so my goal is Level 5 which is 5-100 books. And since I've already read 55 books that count towards this challenge, I'm done! ;D  But I'll continue to add books here as I read them.

In October, I read to 13 books. Same as last month so at least I'm consistent. ;)
