“I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.” --Bingley, Pride & Prejudice
Hmm, do you think there's a connection between my love of P&P and my library?!? I'm working on the 'excellent'. ;)
You've shared a glimpse of your library. Bingly would stumble over his words about how excellent it is. One day, I'll have a room of books and every year I'll break out the booze (we're talking wussy wine coolers here) and redo the shelves. Have a great weekend, Brandee. Finally, the sun is out. I plan to spin around in a bit.
ReplyDeleteOops, I spelled Bingley wrong. My bad.
DeleteLOL I'm gonna join you in re-doing those shelves, Robyn. I'll even drink some wussie wine coolers with you! ;)
DeleteI hope you have a great weekend too, Robyn. We're celebrating Jax's bday tomorrow - 11!! I hope you did some major spinning in the sun...while it lasted. :)
Oh, I love P&P! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHa - I knew there was a reason I liked you! ;) P&P is just the greatest romance, isn't it?!?
DeleteIt's just this year that I really started reading books, and just like what you shared in the quote... I'd be miserable if I don't have an excellent library years from now as well.
ReplyDeleteYeah, libraries ROCK! Thanks for stopping by, Jenn!
DeleteBingley is so affable and genial that for him to declare he would be 'miserable' shows just how important books are. I think you're definitely channelling him.
