I couldn't think of any better way to kick off 2014 than with a little Ford! ;) So, here he is ladies...

Synopsis
A SEXY Standalone Novella  (approximately 80 pages)

Ford Aston is not too picky about what he wants out of Christmas. He's not into this holiday--like at all. He doesn't do presents, or family dinners, or parties, or church.

He does pets. And he's got one lined up for Christmas Eve. In fact, it's the highlight of his day. And if he can get through drop-in visits, nosy twelve-year-olds, an inappropriate conversation with his best friend's girlfriend, dinner with a family that's not his, and a party at his mother's house--well, he might just get home in time to enjoy himself with a stranger and make it all OK.

SLACK: A Day in the Life of Ford Aston, is a prequel to TAUT: The Ford Book, and can be read as a standalone novella. TAUT, the full-length Ford Book, releases January 20th,  2014.

Man! If all Ford's days are this eventful, he leads a very full life! Ahh, but I know his days are usually filled with running, pet time, and solitude. Ford is such a complex man. And I love him for it. :)

Slack is a day in Ford's life, Christmas Eve to be precise, and it's told in a sort of stream of consciousness. This format was perfect for Ford. Although this is not a typical day in the life of Ford, the events of this day allow a glimpse into this enigmatic man. We get some insight into what Ford is all about. And I'm going to admit that I already knew Ford was a big marshmallow underneath that gruff exacting, anti-social exterior.

I delighted in seeing the many faces of Ford. His interactions with Merc, Sasha, psycho-pet, Rook, and his mom spoke volumes about who Ford truly is. And Slack definitely whetted my appetite for Taut!

I want to make special mention of Sasha Alena. This little gal melted Ford just a little and that was something to behold. She didn't let Ford intimidate her or make her uncomfortable. I think it says a lot about Ford because, in general, children are usually good judges of character. And Sasha Alenda stole Ford's heart.

I'm truly excited about Taut - even more than before. I need Ford to find his happiness. Only 19 more days....

  2. Lots of blogs that I follow really love this series. I'll be honest, I haven't picked up any coz of the cover arts! I love the colors and stuff but when I look closely it looks trashy LOL (JA Huss don't hate me!). Plus I'm still not sold on the whole angsty crazy love stories, it annoys the hell out of me sometimes... that or it reminds me of myself when I was in my early twenties. I was annoying then until now.

I will stop my rambling now.
