Berls @Fantasy is More Fun and Michelle @Because Reading are hosting A Month of Giving Thanks. I thought it was a great idea as Thanksgiving is actually my favorite holiday and I'm grateful for so many things. I may not manage a post every day but I wanted to kick off the month right.
I'm so very thankful for so many things in my life - my health, my husband, kids, family, and friends. I'm thankful that I can live in my version of paradise here in the Rocky Mountains. I'm grateful for the ability to read! *ha*
But as this month winds down, I'm taking a page from Berls and Michelle and giving thanks for my blogging friends. I realize the month is almost over so I might have to cram a few together but it's the thought that counts, right?!? :) I'm now down to SEVEN days...
I'm very thankful to have found Andrea @The Bookish Babe. Andrea recently 'retired' from blogging but while she was blogging, I adored discussing romances with her. Luckily, I know where to
I'm also thankful for Naomi @Nomi's Paranormal Palace. I honestly wish I'd found Naomi sooner but I don't think my kindle would have survived. If y'all follow my Bought, Borrowed, & Bagged posts, you see her name often as I'm constantly finger-pointing at her for causing me to one-click books. In fact, I should probably send her my physical therapy bills - that one-clicking takes a toll. ;) Naomi and I obviously have similar reading tastes and we've been known to have lengthy off-line discussions on our theories on what will happen next in a book. And she is a Huss-convert because of me, too. Naomi is also a sweet and genuine person and I'm glad we've become friends. I hope that one day we'll be able to meet in person. :)
Man! I feel bummed that I didn't know Andrea :( but I'm glad you got to know her well enough that you still get to talk!ReplyDelete
And I too adore Naomi! She's added way too many books to my list, not that I'm REALLY complaining LOL. I love that she's in Australia (BC COOL!) but hate it too - how will we ever meet!? Lets hope we both get to meet her someday!
I Love Andrea and was so sad she retired. Naomi is a sweetie too. You have a lot to be thankful for :)ReplyDelete
Oh, it's so sad when bloggers decide they want to do more off-line stuff and leave the blogging community behind. I'm glad you know where to find Andrea in real life ;)ReplyDelete
LOL Naomi will be the one responsible for breaking your kindle one day, not me! And I have just screen-capped that for evidence :P I agree, Naomi is great, even if she gets me one-clicking, too.
Have a great Thanksgiving week, my dear. Drive carefully, and enjoy some good times with your family! *BIG HUGS*
Yeah, I was sad that Andrea 'retired' but at the same time, I understood. I am glad that I still have contact with her though. It will more likely be a combo of you and Naomi that breaks my kindle. :) You're bot equally responsible for so many of my one-clicks. I have an embarrassing confession...I had to clean off ARCs from my kindle this past week because I got a message saying I was out of memory! That's what's driven my creating shelves. :)ReplyDelete
Thanks! I will enjoy seeing my grandma and my mom. Hope your weeks is fantastic! **BIG HUGS**
Yes, I do have much to be thankful for. :)ReplyDelete
Andrea is a real sweetheart. She was one of the first bloggers to follow me regularly - even before Lexxie. I do understand why she left though. But I'll miss her.ReplyDelete
Naomi - yeah, she's a pusher too! LOL It is way cool that she's in Australia. We'll just have to make a pact to take a trip to meet her sometime. I've always wanted to visit the outback. ;)
Awwww... you bought tears to my eyes! I am so excited to make your post!!ReplyDelete
I am so glad that I have met you too! I hope to get to America one day... to go to some of the fun book things you guys have!! It would be fantastic!!
And I will continue to read awesome books just so I can make your kindle explode again!! lol
Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace
Naomi, I know what my life was like without you in it and I don't care to go back. :) And I hope you get to come here someday for a book convention. That would be fabulous! I also hope to get to Australia to meet you...and maybe a rock star or a Onslow boy. ;)ReplyDelete
Please keep reading awesome books - I'll deal with my kindle exploding! *haha*
Haha! Like I would stop! And hopefully we'll meet one day!ReplyDelete
Uh oh... that's not good, Brandee! I hope I still have much more room on mine *shifts eyes* I've actually been eying the new kindle voyager, as it seems to have even more memory... I just might order it and have it delivered to Dallas in May ;)ReplyDelete
Have a great week, my dear. *BIG HUGS*
