That's What He Said is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely ladies @Chapter Break. Here's the deal: every Thursday, post a line from your book boyfriend to his heroine. Keep in mind, these are direct quotes from dialog in the books. The quote doesn't have to be romantic - just something our hunky hero said to his lucky lady. Be sure to link up over at Chapter Break as well.
My pick this week for That's What He Said is from:
Irresistible Refrain by Michelle Mankin
from the Tempest Series
***
"Lace Lowell, I love you. You're the most beautiful woman I've ever known, and I want you to know that I've always had faith in you, even when you lost your way. I know that you're no weak minded princess in needs of a rescue, and that's ok because I'm no prince. It's really me who needs the rescue, from a life that means absolutely nothing to me if you're not in it."
And thanks to Michelle, I have an audio version of
Irresistible Refrain up for grabs!
I love the quote. This sounds lovely and I appreciate the chance to win it. I love audios but haven't listened to many in this genre.
ReplyDeleteOh that's a very sweet and sincere quote. I love it!
ReplyDeleteAww that is such a swoon worthy completely adorable quote I could die. Wow, great quote choice Brandee you got me all choked up!
ReplyDeleteOoh lovely quote. I like declarations of love quotes like this :)
ReplyDeleteLOL I just realized I didn't include the character's name! Duh! Bryan Jackson is his name. I can't believe I did that. Anywho, Ms. Mankin says she has an author crush on the male narrator for this one. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a hard road to get to this place - but sooo worth it! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteBryan Jackson doesn't necessarily have a way with words either, Sharrice. But when he does speak...whoa! I realized just now that I forgot to include his name in my post. This series is fabulous and I think Irresistible Refrain is my favorite. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's an awesome scene. Their road to this point is definitely rocky, but they get here. I just realized I forgot to include the character's name in my post. Duh! It's Bryan Jackson...in case you were interested. :)
